Jessica Rorie

Jessica Rorie, age 41, of Greensboro, North Carolina—and formerly of Chadbourn—entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of D&A Funeral Services, 212 South Wilkes Street, Chadbourn, and at the church following the service.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, located at 505 South Wilkes Street in Chadbourn, North Carolina, with Pastor Virgil Reaves officiating. Reverend Tamara Ingram, of Bass Chapel United Methodist Church, will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow at Belvue Cemetery, 1055 Clarendon-Chadbourn Road, Chadbourn.

Jessica’s life and memory will be lovingly cherished by her devoted sister, Alice Michelle Porter; her beloved nephew, Timothy Lee Porter; and her treasured great-nephew, Caleb Dixon. She is also survived by two caring aunts, Sarah Louise Rorie Faulk and Lee Ethel Rorie Kelly; three uncles, Bobby Rorie (Evelyn), Winford Rorie (Felisa), and Wilford Rorie; along with a host of cousins and dear friends. Among those closest to her heart were her cousins Ebony Rorie, Denise Grainger, and Teresa Rattley, with whom she shared a special and enduring bond.
