John Mitchell Lawrence, 84 died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Angel House in Whiteville, North Carolina. He was an army veteran. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 1:00 pm at First Missionary Baptist Church 505 South Wilkes Street Chadbourn, NC. Burial in the Belvue Cemetery with military rights. Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at D & A Chapel. The family will be present from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. He is survived by one brother Larnell Lawrence of Richmond, VA, two sisters Fannie Chestnut of Chadbourn ,NC and Nellie Hardy of Whiteville, NC. A host of nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may visit the family at Fannie Chestnut home at 101 Chadwick Apt A Chadbourn, NC.
