Chadbourn
Nathan McKinnies, 53, of Chadbourn, NC, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at First Missionary Baptist Church, located at 505 South Wilkes Street in Chadbourn. Pastor Virgil Reaves will serve as the eulogist.
A public viewing will take place at the church both before and after the service.
He is survived by his fiancée, Lolita McKinnies; four sons: Darius McKinnies, Tyriek McKinnies, Natrell McKinnies, and Chris “Archie” Smith; three daughters: LaTaysha Mason, Nyasia McKinnies, and Jnia Watson; and six grandchildren.
Nathan is also survived by his mother, Barbara Jones (Curt) of Chadbourn; his father, Nathaniel McKinnies of Tabor City; and his grandmother, Fannie Chestnut of Chadbourn.
His siblings include three sisters: Wanda Bellamy (Chris) of Loris, SC, Shawn McKinnies, and Sharon McKinnies (Rico) of Fayetteville, NC.
